AWA Adds 4 falls clinicians!
AWA is proud to announce the addition of 4 clinicians for its fall classes, 2 of whom are NCAA Division 2 Champions! AWA continues of hiring only the best wrestling technicians and people of high character to teach at AWA. The additions this fall are Ryan Woods, Jordan Newman, Raufeon Stots and Nick Becker.
Woods, originally from Bay Port wrestled his college career at UW-Parkside. After graduating from Parkside Woods coached for 2 seasons at UW-Whitewater before moving on to the professional world. Woods currently works at Midwest Insurance and has helped out at AWA this summer.
Newman who wrestled from AWA and St. John’s military academy currently wrestles for UW-Whitewater where he has 2 years of eligibility left. In 2015 Newman made All-American status at the NCAA Div. 3 tournament. Newman has also has All-Americaned twice at the UWW Juniors and University levels! Newman has helped out as an AWA summer camp counselor the last 2 years.
Stots a 2x National Champion at University of Nebraska Kearney in 2012 and 2013 is now training as a Mixed Martial Artist. Stots is currently 6-0 and one of the hottest Bantamweight(135lb) prospects in the World. This will be Stots’ first time helping at AWA.
Becker who currently wrestles at UW Parkside has 2 years of eligibility left completed his Sophomore campaign undefeated with a National Title! Becker went 42-0 and defeated Minnesota State’s Adam Cooling 9-3 in the NCAA Finals. Becker attended AWA in high school, but this will be his first time helping out.
AWA is also staffed by John Mesenbrink, Max and Ben Askren, Josh Wagner, Cade Sarbacker and Mason Baumgartner!
