Lauren Louive becomes first member of AWA RTC
We are so excited to announce that Lauren Louive is the first member of the AWA RTC! It has been a dream of AWA to be able to support athletes who want to train at the Senior level and this is the first step of that Journey. Lauren was a 2019 Final X participant and has previously trained at the Hawkeye Wrestling Club and Olympic Training Center. Making a push for the 2024 Olympics Lauren has decided to move and train full time at AWA “I knew I needed to do things differently than I had been, Ben Askren is a master of doing things differently. So I decided to attend the Funky Fresh Camp in August, I loved it and clicked instantly with Ben and Coach John Mesenbrink and decided to make the move.” Lauren has been training full time since October “Lauren has been on a mission since moving to AWA. Her drive, dedication and willingness to help others has been extremely impressive. It has been a great opportunity for our athletes to see her pursuing her dreams and goals as a senior level athlete at AWA.” said John Mesenbrink
Lauren will compete next in Cairo, Egypt at the UWW Rankings series event and then after that at the US Open in Las Vegas!
